Yeah, I think you could say that. Adoption of a ‘not intuitive’ feature would tell you if it’s actually addressing a real problem that the user has. If they didn’t understand it at first, but upon using it keep coming back, then it would validate its design.

Of course, you could also make the argument that lack of adoption of a feature is just a result of poor training.
