I hadn’t thought about the issues with a non-dominant hand or that the screen’s size will be in that in-between focal distance. I wonder if they have any settings that are optimized for larger text sizes or controls.

Some of the touch target sizes frankly shock me with how small they are. I think the density of information will need to change in the future to adapt to more varied driver types. I’ve often wondered why traditional buttons are used in touchscreen cars as a single bump in the road can throw off a touch event. I wonder if they have built in any tolerances for accidental presses, or if they could switch to an interaction that would be much more tolerant of error in a moving vehicle.

All that being said, have you had any pause when thinking about your initial deposit? I’ve heard that people have been cancelling them, but I’m not sure how credible those reports are.
